I got very excited after the ironman, and I was all ready to train and use that aerobic fitness to work hard and turn that into speed for some shorter races... and then my knee hurt. Then I realized how much easier life is when you don't have to go out and do workouts, and then my will power sagged, and then I was really lazy for a period of about three weeks. When I had six to train for the Patriot's half that is this upcoming Saturday. Yikes. So now I'm going to yet another race simply planning on finishing, even though I have plenty of aerobic fitness to do so, but I can't try to go faster because I've been very lazy and squandered my fitness for this race.
