I had been on a bit of a kick of late, getting in some good base work, or at least what I think to be good base work. I was swimming and doing some lifting and PT exercises to build strength and try to ward off any of my nagging injuries from last season. But this week is the first week in a while that I can honestly say I was too busy to get in a workout. I tried to do the early morning thing, but I just couldn't do it. Late swim meet nights followed by a 4:30 wakeup call for a workout just doesn't work for me. I'll get back, just not this week unfortunately. |

So, I'm feeling more motivated and dedicated lately. I've been able to work out most every day that I have time. The only bummer is that I've not been keeping up with my stretching regimen. As a result my back has been really sore and tender, I mean, incredibly tender. I don't think that it's a big deal, with some warming up it is fine, but I'm trying to rest. Why do I write this stuff up here? Like anyone wants to hear this. I wonder if the phenomenon of blogging is more of a self-centered thing about us wanting to get our daily foibles out to a larger audience... but is that really what happens? Perhaps this isn't the forum for this. I'm just saying. |

but it seems like every time I do, I get a little bit more sick. Hopefully though, this time it will stick. I'm feeling pretty energized and happy right now. |
