So, I went for another workout yesterday and it was rather an inauspicious start. My run was, how to put this, like a rollercoaster. One moment I was chugging up a (metaphorical) hill, the next I'm screaming down enjoying the ride. The good parts were that my heart rate would recover pretty rapidly if I slowed to a walk. The bad part is that my heartrate spent a good amount of time in the upper limits of where I like to be on a training run. The other bad part is that I was very creaky, rusty, and achy. Not a good way to start off the training. But I was out there, and things will get better from here. |
