6 Days a Week
Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Working 6 days a week really blows!  I have worked the last 3 of 4 Saturdays: I didn't work the 4th Saturday because it was the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  I find I get very little done during the week outside of trying to get my workouts done.  So the garage is still awaiting the recovery from our remodeling.  The house looks great though, we had new flooring, kitchen cabinets and carpeting installled.  My brohter-in-law Jeff and I installed new lights in the entry, hallway, and kitchen along with a new microwave.  Jeff being a cool brother in law painted our family room and kitchen while Marie and I were on vacation back in October so the house looks pretty darn nice!  I'm waiting for a guy to come and give me a quote to reinstall our gas stove (looks like a woodstove but runs on gas) and we're pretty much back in business.

Talked with my coach today, until the call(s) got dropped.  Going to move my target average wattage up for the trainner rides to about 110W and see where the HR goes.  I've been noodling in high Z1/low Z2 HR the past couple of weeks, so it's time to get the wattage up and see what happens.

I will also do one of my swims with him this week so that he can evaluate my stroke and see how I swim.  Should be good for a few laughs...I don't exactly look like a dog humping a football when I swim, but I'm no Andy Potts that's for sure.

Was looking back at my entries from early November and I can say that my run fitness continues to improve. I did my last run and averaged a 128 HR and a 10:15 mile.  That's quite a difference from the 13:00's I was kickin' back then, feeling significantly more positive about it now.  I'm not going to run Macca or Crowie down, but I might just make it through the run.
