'A' race went better than expected on last Sunday Sept 27, 2009. 5:04 (30:xx, 2:31 22.1 mph, 1:57 8:59 min/mile) PR!

things that worked:  Hornet Juice/Gatorade, breakfast of oatmeal/PB/Honey/Cinammon, my own pace on the run 8:30 to 9:00, patience on the hills on the bike, Red Bull/HJ on the run

things that didn't:  my swim, 1/2 PowerBar + supplements in a baggie- melts and the supplements don't go down ez when the bar melts around 'em.  UpChuck at 22 mph!

One week OFF, slept, ate whatever, not motivated to train...until today.  Clean bike, set tribike on trainer for ez aerobic sessions, will ride roadie outside.  Will run often, ez, with trails, and 1 long every week.  Will swim often working on feel and drills for several months, One interval session per week to work on speed.  Would love to find a swim coach, or tri coach (Brett @ ZenTriathlon, www.texafornia.squarespace.com)

familiar with post race blues, add that to the last few emotional months, and .... damn, I was tired.  Happy to be feeling better and rarin' to go!
