Biographical Information:
Liisa swam hard core from ages 9-15. Hardcore means 5 miles per day, 6 days per week. Hardcore also means that her former USS teammate Carly Piper went to Athens, won a gold, and set a world record in the 4x200m freestyle relay! Liisa however was sick of having her head underwater for 2.5 hours per day by the end of her freshman year in high school. Over a decade later Liisa is back at the distance training and wondering how she ever gave it up! |
