Fireweed Bicycle Race Across Alaska
July 2006. Great Alaska Double Century. 200 mile,one day. Sheep Mt. Lodge to Valdez. 12,000 ft elev. gain. I rode final 120 unsupported. Mtns, thunderstorms. My wife, Julie and brother Lane, niece Caitlin did the 200 mi relay. This RAAM qualifier was harder than any of my four IM finishes.
